Originally Atco was the trading name of the company Charles H. Pugh Ltd who produced petrol-powered lawnmowers from 1921. The mowers were a huge success and ATCO can justly take the title of the first ‘mass-produced’ motor mower in the industry. Atco continued to produce quality lawnmowers for many decades, winning awards for their popular lawn tractors. Robert Bosch GmbH purchased the brand In 1994 and continued to trade under the name ATCO-Qualcast. There was a transitional period between 2011-2013, when the ATCO name was licensed and sold to GGP (STIGA).
ATCO use only the best materials and components for their garden machines. Their mowers are powered by Honda, Kawasaki and Stiga engines, with a successful 80v lithium battery cordless in their walk-behind mower range.
The ‘Finest cut of all’ is attributed to ATCO’s distinct cutting systems. The brand’s cylinder mowers produce the quintessential striped lawn whilst the rotary and roller versions are fitted with a twin or triple-blade cutting decks for the definitive finish to uneven grassed areas.
The Quattro models are 4-wheel rotary mowers and come in 40cm-53cm cutting widths making them adaptable for small to large lawn areas. All models are self-propelled with many premium features such as BBC (Blade Brake Clutch) and variable speed control. The walk-behind lawnmowers have a robust build quality and are powered by either lithium-ion battery or Honda and Stiga petrol engines.
ATCO Rear Roller Mowers
The Liner models are ATCO’s rear roller, rotary models. Fitted with a full-width roller, the rollers split design provides a striking finish all the way up to the flower border. As with the Quattro range, the Liner’s come in 41cm-53cm cutting widths, with premium BBC (Blade Brake Clutch) and infinite speed control. They are powered by fuel-efficient andpowerful Honda or Stiga petrol engines.

For the finest cut and the ultimate traditional striped lawn, the ATCO cylinder mower is in a league of it’s own. The first choice for bowling greens and palace gardens, the petrol cylinder mowers benefit from full-width steel rollers and a range of cutting widths.
ATCO Ride on Mowers
For the larger grass areas, there is an extensive range of ATCO ride-on mowers. The most compact model can fit through a standard garden gate, with a range of collecting and mulching tractors for more substantial lawns. Fitted with high-powered and reliable Honda, Kawasaki and Stiga engines with car-like hydrostatic drive and ergonomic controls, the sit on mowers champion comfort practicality and performance.
