For areas that are being cut on a more regular basis you can purchase a mulch plug which when fitted will cut and re-cut the grass trimmings into smaller particles that disappear into the turf, returning valuable nutrients to the soil. This is useful in drier conditions when the grass is shorter. Powered by a 352cc single cylinder petrol engine the 98 M-SD tractor has a manual transmission with 5 forward and a reverse gear. It is fitted with a 98 cm/38 inch twin blade cutter deck with 2 anti-scalp wheels. Height of cut is easy to adjust with a lever located conveniently buy the driving seat. There are 7 pre-set positions available from 25-80 mm. Larger 18? rear wheels help to provide extra traction in damp conditions.
