Snapper NX-40 16 inch Self Propelled Petrol Lawn mower

The Snapper NX series of walk behind lawn mowers are built with solid steel decks and powered by Briggs & Stratton engines with low exhaust emissions. They are superb quality machines as Snapper have been producing petrol lawn mowers since the fifties, originally in the US but have expanded worldwide over the years. Snapper were recently bought by Briggs & Stratton as part of their expanding garden machinery division. The Snapper NX-40 is a single speed self-propelled rotary mower with a narrow 42cm (16”) cutting width. The NX-40 is a 4 wheel lawn mower so can cope with most lawn types including those with slopes or with uneven areas and still produce a good all round cut and finish. Four wheeled mowers are easy to manoeuvre around garden obstacles such as shrubs, bushes or flower beds. Having a self-propelled or power driven lawnmower lessens the amount of effort and time required by the operator to mow lawn areas. Ideally suited size wise for smaller domestic lawns the Snapper NX-40 is powered by a Briggs and Stratton 500E petrol engine which uses unleaded fuel and 4-stroke oil. You can use the NX-40 in 2 different mowing modes. The traditional cut and collect method into a grass catcher or with the catcher removed in rear discharge mode. More useful in longer grass or less formal areas as the clippings are ejected to the rear of the machine and left to wilt back naturally into the soil. The Snapper NX 40 has a high lift cutting blade fitted which ‘lifts’ the clippings higher into grass bag. The lightweight fabric 60 litre grass catcher lets air circulate through the clippings packing them in tightly so you waste less time emptying the collector and more time mowing. A simple single lever adjusts the cutting height through 6 different positions from 2.8 – 9.2cm ensuring the correct cut for the lawn. Specifications
