Great lawns don’t mean that you have to call in a professional to do it all for you as it’s possible to do it yourself, just as long as you have the tools that you need in order to work on it.

It’s no secret that owning a good lawnmower will get you started in the right direction. In fact, it can make all the difference. Most lawnmowers are easy to operate and will require nothing but the occasional maintenance, usually in the form of oiling in order to keep all the moving parts lubricated.

The next tool that you may consider for use to spruce up your lawn is a garden spreader. This apparatus will make it far easier to apply fertilisers. Lawns will do their best without fertilisers, but no lawn can expect to be truly beautiful without a little help. It’s key to remember when it needs to be applied. Spreaders are available in a variety of different shapes and sizes. Choice should take into consideration the size of your lawn and ease of use of this tool.

Once you have cut the lawn and fed it with fertiliser, it’s time to turn your hand to the task of collecting the cut grass. Leaving grass on your lawn can result in brown spots. Not a good look, and definitely not one that will lead you to the lawn of your dreams. Using a good rake will handle this.

Finally, keeping weeds out of your lawn will enable it to grow unhindered. Many of our clients use a small shovel to remove theirs. Being a multifunctional tool, the shovel can be used for many different purposes such as digging, fertilising and patching the lawn.

Applying the use of these tools can result in a wonderful looking lawn and before you know it, your lawn will be at the centre of envy from your neighbours.
