Pressure Washing Tips With Nozzles

These days most power pressure washers come equipped with a variety of nozzles and spray angles available. The three most important factors when it comes to the power delivered by any pressure washer is the size of the nozzle, the pressure and the flow rate. The more pressure you have, the greater the cleaning efficiency.

How clean you can get your patio can also be dependent upon how sharp the jets of water are. With a sharp angle, you can blast away grime and grit with a laser like stream. Fan angles of around 20 degrees will give you the ability to spray larger expanses of patio, pathway etc. Larger angles in the region of 40 to 60 degrees are ideal for spraying the side of walls and fences, and more sensitive materials.

Improved Cleaning With Good Spraying Techniques

Pressure can often be controlled through the throttle and/or the pump. This is another factor that will determine how effective your cleaning is.

Many units will offer nozzles with a variety of different spray angles. You can adjust these to give you the correct output for your cleaning activity. It’s recommended that you start spraying with the widest possible angle, in order to avoid damaging the surface of whatever you’re cleaning. You can then adjust the pressure to suit. As you clean, vary the angle of your spray to regulate the power of the pressure.
