Product Information:

The Hansa C4 petrol chipper is designed and built to last with high quality components and workmanship. Hansa have been designing and building chippers for over 30 years and have the knowledge and experience to produce these superb machines. Aimed at the homeowner and domestic market the C4 chipper / shredder is very user friendly with a wide chipping chute and easy to access controls. As the Hansa C4 has a petrol engine it is started manually with a pull / recoil mechanism. The GX Honda engine is easy to start and produces 4.1kW of power easily capable of handling cuttings and branches up to 50mm in diameter. The chute chips down material into a fine mulch. This mulch is produced by the steel chipping knives which act in a scissor motion. The chute has been placed at a comfortable height so the user shouldn’t have to strain to reach it.Specifications

I recently spent a few hours processing a large pile of conifer branches. The C4 was pulling them in and spitting them out faster than I could load them. Yes, the loading chute is quite narrow which means that knarly/bushy branches need a little fettling before loading. I only had clogging issues at the beginning when I was trying to load too many / too wide branches. I soon found out what works best and with minimal trimming, I was in the zone and having loads of fun. It is so good that my teenage son was itching to have a go and he and I were racing each other to get the "best branches" to load in.
Top tip: I used a cordless circular saw for fettling the knarly/bushy branches and it worked a treat.
The C4 is very sturdy & well made, has plenty of power and is easy to use. The Honda engine is easy to start and just runs with out any problems.
Don't waste your money on sub standard cheap Chinese crap. Spend the extra money, get a Hansa, you will not regret it.
