The essential factor for shredding is motor power. For this reason, all Bosch Quiet Shredders have high-torque "High-Power" motors. They will shred your woody garden waste at only 84 dB(A), much more quietly than conventional blade shredders, which is why they have been awarded the "Blue Angel" environmental mark. They automatically draw in and shred the branches into pieces optimal for composting.
