Mountfield 1540H Lawn Tractor features a Mountfield 432cc engine and hydrostatic transmission. A 102cm cutter deck provides 7 heights of cut (25-80mm). Features include electromagnetic blade engagement audible alarm to indicate when the collector is full and a deck wash facility.

This high specification Mountfield lawn tractor is suitable for lawns of around 2.5 - 3 acres. Light steering and a tight turning circle make the 1540H easy to manoeuvre around trees, borders and garden furniture with the minimum of effort.

All Mountfield garden tractors cut wider than the wheel width, which means there is little trimming left to do after the lawns have been mown.

Grass cuttings are blown from the twin bladed cutter deck into the large capacity (260 litre) rear mounted collector. An alarm sounds to let the driver know when the collector is full, which is a valuable feature as there is nothing worse than overfilling the collector and then having to unblock the discharge chute by hand. Emptying the grass collector is done from the driving seat; simply pull the tipping lever and the collector opens wide emptying out the clippings. The Mountfield 1540H also features an adjustable seat for added comfort and ease.

Engaging the cutter deck couldn’t be easier; you just have to pull the control switch for “On” and push it in for “Off”. It has seven preset cutting heights ranging from 25mm to 80mm selected by using the lever located conveniently at the side of the seat. No tools are necessary and the cutting height can also be adjusted on the move.

A deck wash facility means keeping the deck clean couldn’t be simpler; just attach a hose to the snap-on connector, turn on the water and engage the blades. Water blasts around beneath the deck washing it clean.
