Allett specialise in the designing and manufacturing of single cylinder walk behind mowers, and have been doing so for almost fifty years. The first Allett mower was built in 1965 by a gentleman called Reg Allett, a horticultural engineer. One year after its initial development, Reg Allett sold his first mower. By the late 1960’s, Allett mowers were being used to cut the outfields of every English test match and many county cricket grounds. Today, Allett mowers are used to cut the grass of many sports grounds including bowling greens, cricket pitches, football stadiums and many other private parks and gardens.
